365 Days…8,760 hours…525,600 minutes…when you start looking at it in those numbers, the weight and magnitude of what’s gone down over the last year is pretty big. It’s been an AMAZING year full of growth and challenges, new relationships and skills, refining old habits, embracing our community, and moving FORWARD!
We wanted to stop a moment and say a huge THANK YOU! to those of you who believe in our dream, helped spread the word, shared a post, followed us on social media, referred us to another local business, or invited us to a networking event. It really is a ton of little things that add up to BIG results and there is simply no way we would have had as much success without all of YOU.
We aren’t just celebrating our company’s birthday…we are celebrating YOU! When we started this business, YOU were the “why”…the inspiration for building a Digital Marketing Agency that’s not just about doing the work and checking items off a list. From the very beginning we wanted to form relationships with our clients, believe in them and their work, and be able to cheer on the incredible community we were helping to build.
As we continue to grow, we wanted to share a few FUN STATS about our #thriving Small Business…
- Coffee fuels creativity and we’re happy to say we’ve consumed approximately 2,257 cups of coffee in the last year. Peet’s coffee of course!
- We’ve learned the value of patience. It’s become too easy to want things immediately…but the best things take time, persistence, and hard work.
- After starting off slow, we’ve gone to about 87 networking events.
- We’ve had 623 conversations about the Braves V. Dodgers…you baseball fans get it!
- We have shown ourselves to be a little old-fashioned and there’s nothing like pen and paper…we’ve scribbled our way through 133 notepads.
- We’ve completely built-from-scratch 12 websites, are currently in progress on 3 more, and manage 3 that were built by different companies. WHOA!
- Made our home in 3 different offices…thank goodness the current (and most long-lived) one has good AC!
- We’ve rebranded over 10 small business. You are ALL our favorites!
- We started drone videography! Do you even drone?
- We photographed some of the best-looking people from Lookout Valley to Cleveland…don’t worry, there’s still time to capture your lovely smile!
- We spent over 8 hours a day (combined) either talking on the phone or texting.
- We may have had our patience tested once…or twice…or four times…per month!
- We heard well over 400 Dad Jokes from Dave! He seriously doesn’t know when to quit!
- Marvel vs DC? We debated it for at least 30 hours over the course of the year…what’s your pick?
- We may have become Dos Bros biggest fans. During working hours, we’ve eaten there over 200 times combined…and then Dave started eating there on weekends! Hellooooo…if you’ve tasted their queso you’re ready to be a “Top Fan” on their Facebook page, too!
- We’ve completed over 500+ social media posts for clients! Stories too!!! It’s almost like we know what we’re doing…
If asked to describe this first year in one word, I’d have to go with “fun-and-action-packed!” (Hey, if you put hyphens in there, it’s still one word!) Embarking upon small business ownership is not for the faint-hearted. It requires more time than you know is possible in a week, more energy than an Olympic athlete, and more emotional support than a dozen licensed therapists would know how to give.
Standing at the mile marker of “one year,” though, it’s gratifying to look back and see how successful and fun-filled it has been…and to see how successful we’ve been. We are grateful for all the support we’ve received from family, friends, clients, and competitors (you pushed us to be better!). This year is dedicated to YOU!
